™The CFL™ Training program covers a wide range of financial topics taught by university professors and members of prestigious national firms such as Morgan Stanley, KLR, Advantage Payroll and Fairview Advisors. The training culminates with the CFL™ Exam, which attorneys need to pass in order to become certified by the AACFL and to earn the use of the CFL™ designation. The CFL™ Exam provides independent, unbiased testing of an attorney’s skill in financial areas. The CFL™ designation indicates completion of the training curriculum, success in passing the CFL exam, and is the AACFL’s highest mark of distinction for an attorney.
The American Academy for Certified Financial Litigators (AACFL) is a New York based organization for prominent attorneys who work with high net worth individuals.
Whether your case is a divorce, a shareholder dispute, a damages claim, or other type of litigation, chances are that a significant part of your litigation relates to money. Surprisingly, many lawyers are not required to be trained in these areas. CFLs receive unique training in financial areas that could make a significant difference in both the outcome of your case and in the efficiency with which it is handled.
It is important to look for the CFL™ designation when interviewing lawyers.
About the AACFLThe innovative national mission of the AACFL is to enhance the legal community by providing lawyers with advanced training in the financial aspects of litigation. In doing so, the benefits to the member attorneys and the community include: increased attorney skills, increased credibility with the Courts, the potential reduction in the number of cases creating backlogs in the court system, marketing opportunities to high net worth clients, and the ability for the general public to be able to better distinguish the lawyers who possess the skills needed to handle their financial cases.
